Blending impressionist influence with bold, Fauvist-inspired colour, my work explores the emotional depth of people through intuitive mark-making and vivid contrast.

Colour as Emotion

I’m drawn to faces — not just how they look, but what they’re hiding. My portraits are never about perfect likeness. Instead, I use colour, exaggeration, and rhythm to express what’s underneath the surface: tension, curiosity, sadness, resilience.

Each piece is a kind of inner landscape. A person’s gaze, a furrow of a brow, a flash of reflected colour — these details guide me as I draw. I hope viewers don’t just see a portrait, but feel something stir in response.

Form and Shadow

Charcoal allows me to strip away distractions — to focus on tension, form, and quiet emotion. In these works, I explore the body as both strength and vulnerability, using deep shadow and light to sculpt mood.

Each piece in this collection captures something raw, human, and in motion.
